  • This course will discuss organization practices in regards to organizations commitment to providing a healthy, harassment-free work environment supportive of the dignity, self-esteem and productivity of every employee.  
  • This course will discuss ways to protect employees from occupational exposure to infectious disease and that it is done in a manner that complied with the provincial and federal Workers Compensation Act and the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation, and human rights legislation.
  • A common part of a home care client’s care plan is “light housekeeping”.  What does light housekeeping mean and what does it include? This course includes information about how to do certain tasks, guidelines on which tasks to do first, what not to do’s, and the importance of disinfecting to prevent the spread of germs and infection.
  • This course discusses the responsibility of every employee to assist in fire prevention, procedures and practices within the client environment.  
  • This class demonstrates the importance of observing, documenting and reporting on a client’s condition. Caregivers will learn techniques for objective and subjective observation, elements and types of reports, and characteristics of effective documentation.
